Malloy magic steers Ladies to victory

Eastbourne Ladies 9,

Trojan’s ladies II 3

Eastbourne had a good start but it was the away side who took the lead with a penalty corner.

Eastbourne responded with their own corner converted cooly by Laura Malloy. Before the break Trojans put away a second corner to make it 1-2 at half time.

The Eastbourne side, having been in this position before, knew exactly what to do and with great skill and effort they started a succession of goals in the second half from Sarah Murray, Freddie Jagan, Steph Black and a further five from the skilful Laroo.

It was through tireless work in midfield from youngster Chloe Pollard setting up many of the second half goals and superb running up front that allowed for Eastbourne to dominate and keep possession. In the second half the home side permitted just a solitary consolation goal for the opposition finishing with an astonishing 9-3 victory and three league points.
