Mackriell’s magic

Rachel Mackriell won the ladies section of the Golfing Park Stableford with 41 points.

Three behind was Sue Bell in second. Di Morris was third with 36.

Chris Gocher was nearest the pins on the second and sixth and Jan Wright was closest on the 9th.

In an unusually low-scoring captains drive-in competetion, the Seniors Section winner was Frew Hillhouse. Wayne Funnell and Rob Calcott were second and third on countback all with 37 points.

Sarah Quinn won the Ladies Comp’ with another 37 points.

Peter Lake managed the soggy conditions superbly in the May monthly medal. Lake, playing off 15, returned a nett 61 to take the prize.

Grant Jones was second with 63. New senior member Steve Taylor returned the best score with nett 58 but due to competition requirements, Taylor has to compete in three competitions before qualification. Nearest the pin on the second was Peter Byiers.
