Eastbourne Town have been dealt a blow ahead of Saturday’s match against Dulwich Hamlet with the news that top goalscorer Danny Curd is ‘unlikely’ to be passed fit.

Curd was sent to hospital after being involved in a heavy collison during Town’s victory over Walton Casuals last week, and manager Danny Bloor has revealed the stiker is a doubt for Saturday’s fixture.

“He’s has very sore ribs and is unlikely to play. At the moment he won’t be involved, but it’ll be a last minute decision,” said Bloor.

The Town manager also revealed that he’ll be assessing several players ahead of the weekend’s game and confirmed John Lansdale will be missing for the next few weeks. “We’ve got a few bumps and bruises so we’ll need to assess the team.

“Unfortunately John (Lansdale) won’t be playing as he gashed his leg at work and required stitches, so he’ll be out for a while.”
