Stringers eye semi-final spot

Hailsham Town manager Kenny McCreadie is confident of a good performance against Rustington in their Division Two Cup clash at the weekend.

He said, “At home, we’re always confident and we will take the game to them.

“The crowds are turning up again and that support, along with the prospect of a semi-final appearance, is great motivation for the lads to do well.”

Rustington, currently ninth in the Division Two table, are sure to be up for the game.

For a Rustington side who haven’t scored many in the league, the task of facing the league’s tightest defence will certainly prove a challenge.

McCreadie has the luxury of being able to pick from an almost full strength squad for the match at the weekend.

“We had a great team performance on Tuesday,” he said. “Hopefully, that will carry over into this game and progress to the semi-final of this competition.”
