Things are starting to take shape at Eastbourne Town as they prepare for next season in County League Division One.
No fewer than six new players have joined the club this week, with Andy Henson, Kenny Pogue and Sean Kelly joining from Hastings United, while Danny Ellis, Allsesandro Zarreli and Ben Billings have also come in.
Dominic Clarke, Max Hollobone and Matt Maclean have signed after spells last season and perhaps the best news for Town fans is captain Steve Elliot agreeing terms on a deal that will see him stay at the club next season.
It will be a new-look Town for their county league campaign after relegation last season but manager John Lambert has previously expressed his confidence in gaining promotion at the first time of asking.
Outgoing star striker Billy Medlock, who left the Saffrons for Tonbridge Angels with the club’s best wishes last month, echoed the boss’s words and there has been a bit of a re-shuffle off the pitch as well.
Richard Davies has joined the club from neighbours Eastbourne United and will take up the role as Commercial Director.
Davies has 15 years experience in grass-roots football and has moved quickly to secure McDonalds as the club’s new kit sponsor for next season.
The club also said that more sponsorship deals were in the offing.
