Eastbourne United AFC are through to the Second Round of the Parafix Sussex Senior Cup after a comfortable 3-0 victory at Midhurst & Easebourne.
It was Charlie Osborne who opened the scoring for United as the young striker grabbed his first goal in senior football after two highly successful seasons playing in the Under 18 squad.
Osborne found himself in an acre of space after beating the offside trap following a flick from Paul Rogers and showed great composure to take the ball around Knight and slot into the empty net.
Talismanic captain Wes Tate added the second from the spot and Osborne struck again with 20 minutes to play as he rifled a low effort home after a superb first touch to confirm United’s place in the second Round.
United return to league action on Tuesday night with a trip to Shoreham (7:45pm).
