Hailsham Town produced a fine festive performance to dispatch AFC Uckfield at the Beaconsfield on Boxing Day.
Top scorer Danny Leach claimed his 12th league goal of the season when he opened the scoring on 17 minutes.
Midfielder Simon Stevens made it 2-0 before the break and boss Kenny McCreadie’s son Trevor hit the third for the Stringers.
Former Crawley player Ryan Fletcher completed a satisfactory day for Hailsham with a fourth on 85 minutes.
The victory lifts McCreadie’s men to 15th in the table who appear to be adapting to life back in the first division following a shaky start to the season.
Hailsham are next in action on Wednesday, January 2 when they make the short trip to Sidley.
Eastbourne United’s division two Boxing Day clash with Westfield was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Paul Daubeney’s promotion chasers are next in action on January 2 at Bexhill. United are fourth in the table on 33 points from their 15 matches.
