Hailsham town boss Andy Goodchild said he was professionally embarrassed as he watched his side lose 11-0 to Horsham in the Sussex County Football League on Saturday.
The Stringers are second from bottom in the division one table on four points from 11 matches and have won just one league game this season.
Speaking after his sides thrashing, Goodchild said, “
“I can’t deny that this is one of the low points of my managerial and coaching career and I am professional embarrassed.
“However we should keeps things in perspective. Firstly YM lost 7-0 to Loxwood a month ago but the world didn’t come to an end. We beat Arundel 7-0 but again it wasn’t the end of their season.
“We had a bad day at the office with some highly influential players missing but over the last ten games we have won five, drawn one and lost four. If we continue winning more than we loose in the form guide I’d be happy.
Taking nothing away from YM as they are one of the best sides in the division and were rampant on the day. However, We’ll be back to fight again another day.”
