Eastbourne’s Hannah Blundell earned her first-ever call-up to the England football squad.
The uncapped Chelsea Ladies defender is among eight Chelsea players selected for the international friendly tournament in China, which begins next week.
Gilly Flaherty, Claire Rafferty, Eni Aluko, Gemma Davison, Fran Kirby, Laura Coombs and Drew Spence are also in the 21-strong travelling party.
Blundell, 21, was shortlisted for the PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year Award earlier this year and has been an integral part of Chelsea’s WSL-winning squad this season.
It’s been quite a year for Blundell as she was also a key part of the Chelsea side that won the first Women’s FA Cup final ever to be played at Wembley.
A record final crowd of 30,710 watched on as Chelsea Ladies beat Notts County Ladies 1-0.
Blundell tweeted, “So happy to get my first senior call up to the @england squad.”
England will face hosts China and Australia in the tournament.
