Eastbourne United bow out in extra time of RUR Charity Cup

Eastbourne United suffered extra time agony after slipping out of the RUR Charity Cup.

The Sussex League side went down 3-2 in added time quarter-final defeat at home to Broadbridge Heath

A goal in the 118th minute from substitute Gary Pritchard was enough to seal victory for the visitors after they had twice been pegged back by a Peter Cooper penalty and an own goal in the second half of regulation time.

United’s attention will now be focussed on promotion to Division One with a visit to winless Saltdean United on Saturday.
