Eastbourne Borough manager Tommy Widdrington has remained optimistic for the rest of the season as his side slipped down to one place above the relegation zone after Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Sutton United.
Despite the result at the weekend the manager - who is celebrating one year in charge of the club - believes his side played better than the result reads. He said, “We were more dominant in the second-half and created chances which was encouraging.”
Widdrington added, “A run of form needs to be done and I believe we are certainly capable to do that. I’ve got to be positive about this.”
The manager will now prepare his team for Tuesday night against Bath City at Priory Lane. Widdrington has a couple of walking wounded in the side after the weekend’s match and they will be assessed before the arrival of Bath.
