Eastbourne Borough boss Tommy Widdrington praised striker Darren Lok after his dramatic last gasp winner at Farnborough.
Lok replaced James Walker on 80 minutes and netted an injury time winner.
It was his fifth goal of the season with the majority of them coming from the bench.
Widdrington said, “Darren nearly always has a positive impact when he comes off the bench. He is a massive assett to this side and we are delighted to have him at the club.
“He has had to bide his time recently and he has worked hard. This is a role we have asked of him and it’s difficult. He has to stay mentally strong and believe he can make an impact when he comes on and he does that.”
The Borough boss was also delighted to halt a run of three consecutive defeats.
He added, “When you are in a bad run there is no hiding place. We had a few honest chats with the lads and the response, to a man, was excellent.
“That’s exactly what I wanted to see. However, I’m not getting carried away. I didn’t get carried away when we lost three and I certainly will not be getting carried away now.
“This one was for the fans who travelled up today. They were superb and fair play to them.”
