Eastbourne Borough boss Tommy Widdrington has commended Ollie Rowe on his attitude since losing his place in the Sports’ starting line-up.
The defender has been out of favour since the arrival of Crystal Palace loanee Alex Wynter in early March, meaning Rowe has been an unused substitute in Borough’s last five outings.
However, the captain has maintained a positive attitude towards training, earning him praise from the man in charge.
Widdrington said, “Ollie’s been fantastic, as you’d expect from a captain.
“Him and Anwar (Uddin) have done very well for parts of this season and I have a lot of faith in them that, should we lose Alex, they’ll have no issue stepping back in.
“I see it as a strength having them on my bench.”
