Widdrington: I think a change will do us good

Tommy Widdrington has got changes up his sleeve as he seeks an answer to his side’s recent dip in form.

Following a shock 3-0 defeat to Kings Lynn Town in the FA Trophy last weekend, where Eastbourne Borough were again unable to capitalise on their dominance, The Sports’ boss has highlighted a number of key areas that need to improve ahead of the visit of struggling Truro on Saturday.

He said, “At the end of the day, our players need to be confident and brave enough to step up and score goals sooner rather than later.

“The match on Saturday was frustrating but we must remedy the reasons why the quality in our side isn’t showing.

“It sounds silly because we lost 3-0 but our whole defensive unit has been okay in recent weeks.

“We need options in certain areas though and I always have my finger on the pulse to ensure we’re aware of what’s going on.

“I’m expecting at least one new face in time for Saturday’s match.”
