One of the more remarkable goals you are likely to see was scored at Priory Lane on Saturday.
Eastbourne Borough reserves were playing Sedlescombe Rangers when the visitors striker Tom Cusden tried his luck from distance.
Rangers conceded a goal but straight from kick-off his strike partner rolled the ball forward and the former Rye player launched an effort from the halfway line.
The ball sailed through the air and flew into the top corner despite the Boro keepers’ best efforts. Eastbourne Borough reserves went on to win 8-2.
