Eastbourne Borough crashed from the Sussex Senior Cup after a nightmare first half performance in Bognor Regis.
Tommy Widdrington’s Blue Square South side struggled from the start against a lively Bognor outfit who previously hadn’t recorded a victory in their last five Ryman League Premier games
The win takes the Rocks into the semi-final of the Senior Cup and just one game away from the final held at the AMEX.
A bright start from the Rocks was rewarded in the ninth minute.
Borough were caught out defensively as Dan Thompson powered a bullet header beyond Danny Potter.
The impressive home side extended their lead on 24 minutes as the returning Terry Dodd nodded home from close rang after fine work from James Crane.
A dreadful first half for Widdrington’s men was complete when Crane was once again the provider for Harvey Whyte to knock in at the near post.
Borough improved after the break but only had a Ben Adelsbury penalty to show for their efforts.
Borough starting XI: Potter, Adelsbury, Cole, Hare, Rowe, Uddin, Johnson, Gorman, Nyalfi, Lok, Smith
