Borough manager Tommy Widdrington felt Frankie Raymond’s red card spoiled the rest of the game for his side.
“The referee reacted more to the reaction of the bench and the players on the pitch, it should of never been a red card. The referee even apologised to me after the game,” said Widdrington.
“If I was playing in my day, I would of stayed on the pitch with that challenge. We used to give and receive those tackles all the time.
“The people who are in charge of deciding what are tackles in this league, don’t have a decent enough amount of experience to make the right decisions and that was the case this evening,” he added.
“The conditions weren’t great but I thought we played well. In my opinion the red card spoiled the game.
“I have nothing but praise for the lads. We haven’t won many games recently but the performances they have been giving is top-drawer and I don’t think we should be where we are at the moment.”
