Nine-men Eastbourne Borough hit for five in Tonbridge

Eastbourne Borough’s first game without Garry Wilson and Nick Greenwood at the helm did not go well as they suffered a 5-1 thumping at Tonbridge Angels.

Boro’ lined up without their management duo for the first time in 13 years following their recent sacking as skipper Ben Austin took charge for the first time.

They conceded in the first and the 10th minute before Matt Crabb pulled a goal back for the Sports.

Carl Rook was shown the red card for a foul on the keeper and Boro’ keeper Clarke Masters was later dismissed to reduce Boro to nine men.

Tonbridge took full advantage and added a further three goals in the second half.
