Eastbourne Borough playmaker Gavin McCallum has agreed terms for another season at Priory Lane.
McCallum, 28, was signed by manager Tommy Widdrington in 2014 and has made 79 apearances for the Sports.
The Canadian international can operate in a number of positions across the attack and even played at left back in the Sussex Senior Cup 1-0 victory against Ryman League side Worthing at the AMEX last month.
“We all know how much Gavin has to offer,” said Widdrington. “He is a man who, on his day can absolutely turn a game, and I am pleased that we have agreed a new deal.”
Borough are yet to announce any new signings although the manager continues discussions with a range of possible targets.
Widdrington’s first team budget for the 2016-17 season has increased thanks to a new ‘substantial six-figure’ investment with East Sussex based business ZBMC.
Widdrington added, “The new faces always take a little longer to bring in than the existing players we have in the squad.
“I have already said that we will do the right deals for the club rather than the instant deals.”
