Eastbourne Borough have strengthened their squad with the signing of former Portsmouth first team player Peter Gregory.
Gregory, 19, can play either full-back position or across the midfield. He signed professional terms in June 2010 and made his Portsmouth debut against Coventry City on August 7, 2010 in the Championship.
Gregory also played in the Carling Cup as a substitute against Stevenage. The utility man has been a Regular Premiership Reserve League player since the age of 16.
Wilson said, “We have brought him in on a week to week basis.
“It will give us a chance to have a look at him and he can also have a look at us.”
Gregory is the grandson son of former first team assistant Peter Andrews and Wilson previously coached Gregory when he was a youth team player.
Wilson added, “He is a local lad and he has a few ties with the club from the past.
“I trained him a few times as a young lad - that makes me feel very old.”
Gregory was expected to make his first team debut last night (Tuesday) against Little Common in Sussex Senior Cup and could be in contention for a starting role against Basingstoke on Saturday.
