Eastbourne Borough’s FA Cup star Darren Lok hopes the goals will continue to flow after his first strike of the season in Farnborough on Tuesday evening.
Lok’s goal helped Borough progress during a tricky FA Cup replay against their Skrill South rivals.
Farnborough boss Spencer Day described Borough’s display as ‘The perfect away performance.’
The team display was certainly excellent but it was Lok who stood out for The Sports both home and away.
He said, “It was a great result on Tuesday, I thought we did very well.
“It shouldn’t have gone to a replay, we had enough chances on Saturday but I was pleased to get a goal and it was a good performance, we deserved it.”
It was Lok’s first goal of the season and he hopes he can add regular goals to his hardworking performances.
“I have broken that duck. I hadn’t scored in five or six. I was working hard but the goals just were not going in for me.
“I think hard work creates chances and when they do come, my job is to keep calm and put the ball away. Hopefully there will be plenty more to come this season.”
