Eastbourne Borough boss Tommy Widdrington said he never doubted his side for a second after they came from behind to book their place in the next round of the FA Cup.
Borough were 2-1 down on a tricky playing surface against a Waltham Abbey side that had not been in the league all season.
But a double blast from Chris Shephard and another goal from Darren Lok sealed victory.
Widdrington said, “We did our homework on Waltham and we always knew we had the quality to beat them.
“Even at 2-1 down I said to Alan (Kimble assistant) ,we will win this.’
“I could see we had goals in us and it was only a matter of time before the came.
“There goal led a charmed life at times and the scoreline could have been more.
Widdrington added, “There was room for improvement with the performance but we are in the hat for the draw on Monday and that’s what counts at this stage.
“Hopefully this is the start of a nice cup run for us.”
