Don’t miss a match this Easter

As always the Easter weekend throws up some interesting challenges for the local senior football teams.

Eastbourne Borough, fresh from their hard fought defeat to an impressive Dartford side, will take on high-flying Welling at Priory Lane on Saturday. This will be swiftly followed by a Monday trip to another team fighting for a play-off spot in Chelmsford. Widdrington’s men will be eager to pick-up a few points from these two tough games to help relieve any lingering relegation anxiety.

Eastbourne Town are in Ryman League division one South action on Saturday when they welcome mid-table Whitstable. The first 200 paying spectators will receive a free Easter egg. On Tuesday night Town travel to Sussex Senior Cup finalists Whitehawk. On Bank Holiday Monday County League division two will see Eastbourne United take on local rivals Hailsham Town at the Oval (kick-off 11am). Kenny McCreadie’s Hailsham side recently secured promotion to division one.
