Outgoing striker Charles Ademeno expressed regret the Priory Lane fans never got to see the best of him during his stay.
Ademeno departed last week following Borough’s home defeat against Tonbridge Angels.
The former Crawley and Grimsby striker joined the club on loan towards the end of last season and played a role in helping the Sports avoid relegation.
He said, “I don’t want to go into details but it was decided to be for the best to part company.
“I’m sorry to be leaving and I want to thank the fans for their support.”
Speaking on Wednesday Ademeno added, “I hope to get fixed up with a club soon. I have a few options but nothing has been finalised.”
