Eastbourne Borough’s reward for their victory at Waltham Abbey is a home tie against Ryman Premier outfit Hendon.
The North London side qualified for the third qualifying round by beating Lewes 3-0 with goals from Dean Cracknell, Elliot Charles and Michael Murray.
They are however struggling in the league and languish in 21st place having drawn three and lost three from their opening six games.
The third qualifying round, which is worth £7,500 for the winner, is scheduled for Saturday, October 6 at Priory Lane.
Boss Tommy Widdrington said, “On paper we will be favourites to progress but football is never played on paper. We will be physically prepared but what I need to make sure is that the lads are mentally prepared.
“Hendon will arrive with nothing to lose but we have to make sure they don’t cause an upset.”
