Eastbourne Borough boss Tommy Widdrington has promised a change of faces at Priory Lane after his side’s less than impressive display against Hendon on Saturday.
Borough were held to a 2-2 draw by the Ryman Premier strugglers and that, combined with a run of five defeats in six league matches, has forced Widdrington into action.
Speaking after the FA Cup third round qualifying clash, he said, “I’ve spoken to each of the lads individually and you can expect to see a few new players before the end of the week.
“I thought Simon Johnson was outstanding today but other than that, I’m struggling to see who else did well.
“Saying all that makes it sound like I’m disappointed though and I’m not really, I’m over the moon to still be in the hat.
“The only thing I am disappointed about is that it took us nearly 15 feet’s worth of player to get a goal tonight. Out of about 16 shots, we only scored two and that chance to goal ratio is something we must improve.
“I’m not taking anything away from Hendon though, they did the job they came here to do and no doubt Tuesday will be an entertaining match.”
