UTILITY player Luke Denton is expected to make his Eastbourne United debut against Steyning Town at the Oval on Saturday.
Denton remains registered with Ryman League side Eastbourne Town but signed dual forms with Paul Daubeney’s County League Division Two title chasers.
Denton, who can operate along the midfield or in defence, will link up with former team-mates Pete Featherstone, Pete Cooper, Nick Barden, Mark Goodwin and Simon Catt at The Oval.
Boss Daubeney said, “Luke is an experienced full back who can also play in midfield if required.
“I am very happy to have Luke on board as we need a strong squad for our promotion challenge, and his signing reinforces our squad further.
“I spoke to Danny Bloor (Eastbourne Town manager) on Monday, the opportunity of Luke signing on dual-registration was too good to turn down.”
United will look to build on their blistering start to the season. Last week they thrashed Storrington 6-0 in their opening came of the season.
