Eastbourne Town boss Danny Bloor wants to see his side join Eastbourne Borough in the last eight of the Sussex Senior Cup.
Borough advanced with a comfortable 2-0 victory against Hassocks last Tuesday and Bloor is desperate to achieve a similar result at County League two outfit Loxwood this coming Tuesday.
Loxwood are floating around the mid-table of the second tier of the County League but Bloor insists his Ryman League side will not be taking their opponents lightly.
“We will prepare for this game as though we are playing Dulwich or Maidstone.” Bloor said.
“The Sussex Senior Cup is a very important competition for us.
“Crawley Down made it to the final last season so why can’t we?
“I would love to take this side to the AMEX for the final. It would be great for the club and great for the fans. But we have to make it through against Loxwood. I know we will be in for a tough game.”
Bloor guided his former club Worthing to two Senior Cup finals both held at Priory Lane. On both occasions they were beaten by Brighton res.
