Eastbourne United hope to welcome back top-scorer Liam Baitup for their County League Two clash against Southwick.
Paul Daubeney’s side will hope to get their promotion push back on track following last week’s defeat at Littlehampton. Southwick have won twice from their last 10 games.
Daubeney said, “We were unfortunate not to come away with anything. Littlehampton commented that we played the best 45 minutes of any time they’ve had at their ground all season, so there were positives.”
“I’m optimistic going into Saturday’s game, and I suppose quietly confident. We’ve got Liam Baitup back in contention after two weeks out, and he’s one of our top scorers so that’ll make a difference. Realistically we should be good enough, we’ve been strong at home this season. Until we’ve got the three points in the bag though, you can’t be too sure.”
“Shaun Lee is still a long-term absentee with a broken ankle, and Grant Harrison and Aaron Filsell are also out.”
