Gustavo Poyet has shipped in another reinforcement as he Brighton boss bids to get the Seagulls’ season back on track.
The Albion are suffering their worst run of form for more than a season as they head to in-form Birmingham City tomorrow (Saturday), but they will be buoyed by the loan signing of Leeds striker Billy Paynter.
The 27-year-old forward has joined from the Elland Road outfit until January 2 after finding the net just once in 24 outings for the Yorkshire club.
Before that though he was a deadly goal-grabber, helping himself to 29 goals in 50 games for Swindon the season before.
Poyet tried and failed to land the marksman in the summer but if the loan goes well the Albion manager may try again to make his switch permanent in the new year.
