The Albion boss has praised the club's fans for their support both on the road and at home and spoken of how crucial they are to this season's success.

More than 1,000 supporters made the midweek trip to Rotherham on Tuesday, while almost 2,000 - the maximum Albion were allowed - sold out the away end at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The travelling support has been impressive all season, backed up by a number of sell-out crowds at the Amex.

Hughton has been quick to recognise that and has called upon the fans to continue to roar them on in their bid to gain promotion to the Premier League.

He said: "As a support, I can speak about last season when they were excellent. If we talk about players performing, then certainly the support has performed incredibly well this season.

"I think credit to the players as the supporters have enjoyed in most cases what they have seen this season and the application from the players.

"The supporters have been excellent and the noise level at the Amex has increased. Away from home, at Rotherham at times it felt like a home game, so credit to them they have been excellent all season.

"Of course in these final ten games we will need them every bit as much as we have needed them for the rest of the season."
