Adam Field will go into next week’s last British world ranking wheelchair tennis tournament of 2012 in Nottingham full of confidence.

He arrives on the back of completing back-to-back tournaments in the USA with his second trophy in successive weeks.

After the Eastbourne player started his American campaign by partnering fellow Brit Antony Cotterill to win the quad doubles at the PTR Championships on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

The duo moved on to St. Louis, Missouri for the US Open USTA Championships.

Field ended the last of six Super Series events this year by winning the quad consolation singles.

Without a seeding for the St. Louis tournament, Field found himself drawn against American second seed and former champion Nick Taylor of the USA.

Taylor is the quad singles bronze medallist at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Taylor went on to win without dropping a game and eventually finished runner-up in the quad main draw.

However, Field ensured that he finished the tournament on a winning note after beating Americans Grady Landrum 6-3, 6-1 and David Jordan 6-3, 6-4.

Field also came up against the experienced Taylor once again in the quad doubles semi-finals after he and Cotterill had beaten Jordan and Marc McLean 6-2, 6-2 in their opening round match.

The British duo put up a determined effort in the first set of their semi-final against three-time Paralympic champions Taylor and David Wagner, but the American top seeds eventually came through 6-3, 6-1 en route to winning the title.

He now joins Cotterill and several other players on the Tennis Foundation’s Wheelchair Tennis Performance Programme in an all-British field for the quad events at the ITF 2 Series Nottingham Indoor from 25-28 October.
