Kimble: We should have been out of sight

Assistant boss Alan Kimble once again cursed a lack of concentration after their FA Trophy exit.

The defeat was a bitter blow for Kimble, who won the FA Trophy with Ebbsfleet in 2008. It was also a financial blow for the club who missed out on £4,000 prize money and a place in the first round proper.

Kimble said, “For 60 minutes there was only one team in it. We battered them and should have been a least three or four up. But as we all know if you don’t take your chances you are always vulnerable, especially if you don’t concentrate.”

It was always going to be a tricky fixture. King’s Lynn are flying high in their division and are known for their attacking power.

Kimble added, “They were decent upfront. They had a good old fashioned centre forward who caused a few problems and they had some pace on the wing with Steve Spriggs. On the whole we dealt with them very well but the facts are, they had three chances and scored three - we had plenty and scored none.

“It’s a huge disappointment and unfortunately we have to wait until Saturday before we can put that right. Truro at home will be a very big game for us.”
