Eastbourne Borough defender Elphick signs for Eastleigh

Injury-prone defender Gary Elphick has left Eastbourne Borough and signed for fellow Blue Square South outfit Eastleigh.

Elphick, 25, has skippered Boro during his three year spell and was a formidable centre half when fully-fit.

However, Boro’ fans rarely saw the best from the former Brighton and Hove man due to persistent calf and hamstring injuries.

Elphick made 79 appearances and scored seven goals having signed from Havant & Waterlooville in 2009.
