Eastbourne Borough chairman Len Smith refused to rule out the possibility of hiring a full-time manager to replace Garry Wilson and Nick Greenwood.

Smith has been inundated with applications many of which he described as ‘very interesting.’

The chairman said, “We are not ruling anything out at this stage. To be honest the job is probably more suited to a part-time role at the moment but a full-time manager would be considered if we felt it was the right person and the right thing to do.”

Smith and the committee were due to meet yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) where they planned to whittle down the applications to a short-list.” The chairman gave no clue as to who is in the running.
