United take on Brighton and Hove Albion XI at new-look Oval Stadium tonight.

Eastbourne United will welcome a Brighton and Hove Albion XI to The Oval tonight (Wednesday) to celebrate the stadium’s official opening.

The Oval has undergone a £100,000 facelift over the past year to bring it up to Sussex County League standards and is now equipped with new perimeter fencing, concrete walkways and a 113-seater stand.

Despite the transformation finishing towards the tail end of last season, this evening’s friendly against the Championship side will officially open the new-look ground and signify the start of a bright, new future for the Division Two club.

The game will kick off at 7:45pm with tickets priced at £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for children under the age of 16.

There will be full bar facilities and refreshments available.
