Mac not happy despite second placed position
Kenny McCreadie is banking on home advantage to help Hailsham Town earn a result against Dorking Wanderers at The Beaconsfield this weekend.
Speaking ahead of the clash, which sees second place up against third, McCreadie said, “It’ll be a very difficult match for us as we haven’t been playing that well in the past couple of months. I’m not confident but we do have home advantage and a better goal difference, so who knows.”
Hailsham have maintained second place in the Sussex County League Division Two despite a recent string of unconvincing performances, including a draw with lowly Oakwood last weekend.
McCreadie said, “I know we’re in second place and a lot of other teams would like to be up there, but we do have a Division One side here.”
Hailsham will be boosted by the return of defender Paul Richardson, who has just finished serving a suspension and will slot straight back into the starting line-up.
