Tottenham still keen on Grant Hall

Premier League Tottenham Hotspur are still weighing up a move for Brighton’s young defender Grant Hall.

The 20-year-old centre back is approaching the end of his contract with the Albion and the North London giants have sent scouts to watch him in a host of development games.

Hall, who was re-signed by the Seagulls having been released by them at 16, emerged as a genuine talent during a spell with non league Lewes.

He made his debut in the home win over south coast rivals Southampton back in January when he came on as a 53rd minute substitute for assistant boss Mauricio Taricco. Since then he has only featured in the FA Cup.

We revealed back in early April that Spurs were interested in Hall in our story Spurs hot for Seagulls youngster.

And earlier this week Sky Sports reported that a move to White Hart Lane was still very much an option.

Elsewhere this week, Hall’s fellow centre back Adam El Abd made his debut for Egypt during a 2-1 friendly win over a second-string Cameroon team.
