Winning burst from Jim’s men

Playing at home in the County Triples Tom Dickens, Brian Henty and Jim Preston were 5-0 down after two ends against T Cook, R May and Chris Thomas of Wealden IBC.

With 10 ends played Jim’s team had taken the lead 11-8 they then put in a winning burst of 5,4,1,2,4,1 to lead 28-8 when the visitors conceded the game.

In the preliminary round of the Ladies Badged County Triples, Beth Clarke, Cora White and Sheila Simmons made a good start to lead 13-6 after ten ends and went on to win 24-11 against a team from Worthing (Field Place)
