Sue and Pat hold their nerve in the county pairs
IN THE Ladies County Pairs Sue Taylor and Pat Bain travelled to Egerton Park to play Shirley Hall and Jan Pilcher.
Winning the first five ends to lead 9-0 stood them in good stead as the Egerton Ladies fought back over the next five ends to trail 10-8.
After eighteen ends the scores were level at 18 all. Sue and Pat then scored 4,1 to a dropped shot on the last end to win a close fought game 23-19
Meanwhile in the Sussex Men’s League Eastbourne’s team entertained Worthing IBC.
In a hard fought game Eastbourne won on four rinks out of six and recorded a fine win 138-103, scoring nine valuable points.
