Harris lands the county singles title

Robert Harris of Langney Sports IBC became the inaugural winner of the County Unbadged Singles Championship at the County Indoor Bowls Association Finals.

Played at The Grattons IBC, Crawley, the Unbadged Singles Final was contested against Jim Millward (Preston IBC).

Millward drew first blood, scoring two on the first end. Harris responded immediately, taking three shots on the next end, and he continued to draw consistently to establish a 12-5 lead after eight ends.

Millward fought back to level the scores at 13-13, before Harris drew away to secure victory 21-14.

Robert was awarded his County Badge and presented with the Rod Jamieson Memorial Trophy by Mrs Jenny Jamieson, who dedicated the trophy to her late husband; the former Hon. County Secretary and County player.
