Bowlers raise charity money against blind bowls veterans
St Dunstans Bowls.
A mixed team of eleven club members travelled to Brighton for a return match against their blind bowling colleagues.
Everybody involved had a great time and the blind bowlers were magnificent and managed to achieve yet another honourable draw.
Following the game, Keith Hopkins the Eastbourne Club captain, Glynn Burton the men’s president and John Ereira the vice president presented a cheque for £1,238 which was collected from the members of the Eastbourne Bowls Club to assist the Blind Veterans UK in the future.
The Eastbourne members then enjoyed sandwiches and cakes together with steaming cups of tea, which ended the day most successfully.
