Eastbourne second XI were knocked out of the T20 Gray-Nicolls Cup by Three Bridges seconds at the Saffrons on Sunday.
Eastbourne won the toss and elected to bat and posted a total of of 172-5 in this quarter final match-up.
Alex Pollard top-scored for Eastbourne with 51 not out while skipper Luke Tomsett rattled off 44 runs including five fours and a six.
Mark Trubshaw also contributed well with the bat as he added 30 runs to the total.
In reply Three Bridges surpassed the total for the loss of three wickets with just two balls remaining.
Their openers Ian Church (79) and Dominic Keats (51) did the damage with the bat. Joe Barnett (2-21) and Harry Mcleod (1-33) took the wickets.
