Boro hit for a double at Rushden

Eastbourne failed to follow up Saturday's superb victory at Wrexham as they crashed to 2-0 defeat at Rushden and Diamonds on Tuesday nihght.

On-loan Crawley Town striker Jefferson Louis and Michael Corcoran did the damage to Boro as Louis struck just before the interval.

Corcoran sealed the victory on 52 minutes when he headed home from Craig Farrell's corner.

The result lifts the Diamonds to fourth place in the Blue Square Premier. Boro are in 19th place on 29 points after 30 matches.
