Bloor looks to finish off VCD job

Eastbourne Town will look to progress to the next stage of the FA Cup when they welcome VCD Athletic to the Saffrons tonight (Wednesday).

Town played out a hard fought 1-1 draw at the Kent League outfit on Saturday during their FA Cup Preliminary round contest (full match report on page 39).

Evan Archibald gave Town the lead but a second half penalty, conceded by Adam Davidson and scored by VCD will see the two sides do battle once more.

The reward for the winner will be an away clash with Town boss Danny Bloor's (pictured) ex-club Burgess Hill.

On Saturday Town will resume Ryman League division one south action and will look to secure their first win of the season when they welcome Walton and Hersham to the Saffrons (3pm).

In the Blue Square Premier Eastbourne Borough will hope to bounce back from back-to-back defeats when they welcome Darlington to Priory Lane on Saturday (3pm).

Eastbourne United are also at home this weekend as they welcome Pagham to the Oval for a County League Division One clash.
