Atkin a fitness doubt for Stevenage
Eastbourne Borough are sweating on the fitness of last season's leading scorer Andy Atkin ahead of tonight's clash at Stevenage Borough.
Atkin was withdrawn after an hour during Boro's opening day 1-0 home defeat against Rushden and Diamonds last Saturday.
The striker received a whack on the calf and has been receiving treatment this week. Matt Smart is also a doubt after picking up ankle injury in the dying minutes.
Simon Wormull is on standby for his first league start if Smart fails a late fitness test. Darren Budd could also be recalled to the squad.
Allan Tait, who looked sharp after a substitute appearence on Saturday, will hope to force his way into the side ahead of Jean-Michel Sigere.
Borough are expected to give a debut to midfielder Mo Harkin who was not named in the squad for the Rushden game.
Pre-season title hopefuls Stevanage Borough will hope to get their season back on track after a heavy 5-0 defeat at Wrexham.
Boss Garry Wilson said, "It was a very surprising result and hopefully we will not suffer the backlash from that. It's important we give a good account of ourselves and try and pick up some points."
