Eagles captain Lee Richardson was enjoying a well earned break after a successful week treking across Europe.
Richardson has been in fine form in a week that saw him win his Grand Prix qualifying semi-final at Terenzano, Italy before driving to Poland and completing a paid maximum for Czestochowa.

The Arlington favourite then boarded a flight to Sweden to race in the Swedish league before arriving back in England on Wednesday.

Richardson, who is the only Brit through to the GP qualifying final at Zielona Gora in Poland on September 14 said, "I am exhausted but it has been a fantastic week.

"It has been a very busy time for me and the mechanics but when your form is good it makes it a lot easier.

"In Italy the heat was a killer, they race in the evenings so it did not finish until 1.30am. We then drove across to Poland and that went to plan as well.

"It has been a good team effort and now I am just glad to put my feet up and rest for a few days. This is the longest time off I have had since breaking my wrist earlier in the season.

"I plan to relax for a couple of days before racing again."

Richardson is next in action with Great Britain for a World Cup meet at Coventry on Monday.

"I'm tired but I feel in good shape. I'm pretty much injury free and I feel like I'm riding better than I was before I got injured."

Eagles team-mate Edward Kennett missed out on the GP qualifying final by just one point after he finished 10th in his semi-final at Motala, Sweden.

Eagles are without a fixture this weekend.
