HAILSHAM Town manager Kenny McCreadie is urging his players for one last effort to ensure his men leapfrog Eastbourne United AFC in the league.
A win against tomorrow against Pagham would delight McCreadie and see his side go above local rivals Eastbourne United.
McCreadie said, "After we lost at Eastbourne United he (Brian Dennis) said this was the worst Hailsham side he has ever seen.
So I wonder how he would feel if we are looking down on them at the end of the season.
"They beat us twice this year fair and square. We have no complaints about that but a win tomorrow would see us go above them and we would be delighted with that."
McCreadie goes into the Pagham game full of confidence after a decent 1-0 victory against Sidley United. The Stringers boss was pleased with the performance and said he was glad to get some experience back into his youthful side.
He added, "The youngsters have really helped Hailsham Town this year. Without them I don't know where we would be. But you need a few men in the team as well and it was good to see a few old faces back."
Russ Tanner returned from a long term ankle injury to keep goal and will be available on Saturday. The experienced Scott French, Simon Stevens and Ashley Jarvis will also play but Steve Monk misses out.
Dean Stevens will likely resume his role at right back after impressing in recent weeks and 16-year-old James Bailey will feature at left back.
