Goalkepper Lee Hook could return to action tomorrow in Eastbourne Borough's pre-season friendly at Tonbridge Angels.
Hook has not featured in any of Boro's first three warm-up matches after injuring his hand in an accident at home, giving new signing Chris Winterton a chance to impress.

But Hook may be back between the posts at Tonbridge tomorrow after being gi
ven the all-clear this week.

At the other end of the field, Boro's attack continued to look sharp on Tuesday night, a 3-1 win over Horsham taking the number of pre-season goals to nine in three games.

Summer signings Jean-Michel Sigere and Mo Harkin both found the net in the last couple of games and manager Garry Wilson said he was happy with the way the new players were settling in.

He told the Herald, "It always takes a bit of time for everyone to bed in. They're all coming in at different levels of fitness.
"We've got a pattern of play and it's all about getting them to fit in with that pattern.

"The players have worked hard, the spirit's good and performances have improved with each friendly. We've kept more or less injury free and we're going in the right direction."

Wilson said he did not expect to add any more new faces to the squad, although Ross Treleaven and Sam Crabb will be given further chances to impress during forthcoming friendlies.

Wilson's interest in Jamie Lovegrove appears to have waned as the former Crawley left-back turned out for Horsham against Borough on Tuesday.
The Boro' boss also highlighted the qualities he expected to see from Blue Square Premier opponents this season.

He said, "You'll see more technical ability and better ball retention. The biggest thing with us will be keeping up with the concentration and fitness levels of the full-time clubs.

"Historically, part-time teams have been found out so we need to make sure we stick with them."

Eastbourne Borough squad numbers for the 2008-09 season: 1, Lee Hook; 2, Darren Baker; 3, Neil Jenkins; 4, Matt Smart; 5, Ben Austin; 6, Marc Pullan; 7, Pat Harding; 8, Paul Armstrong; 9, Andy Atkin; 10, Allan Tait; 11, Matt Crabb; 12, Andy Ballard; 13, Jay Lovett; 14, Jean-Michel Sigere; 15, Nathan Crabb; 16, Evan Archibald; 17, Sam Crabb; 18, Simon Wormull; 19 Ross Treleaven; 21, Mo Harkin; 22, Chris Winterton; 24, Dominic Douglas; 30, Dean Lightwood; 31, Darren Budd.
