Eastbourne College scooped 30 medals in the Sussex AAA championships at Crawley.
There was particular success for the middle distance runners where club captain Christopher Dodd won both the 800m & 1500m finals in new school record times clocking 1min57.0 and 4min02.0 and eclipsing records set in 1990 and 1969 respectively.

Wearing her Bodyworks vest, Year 10 pupils Becca Eaton won the 1500m in a new record time for the intermediate girls of 4m50.5.

The College extended its dominance of the race walks this year with wins for pupil in three boys' age groups and two girls' age groups (Ed Hickman Casey, William Stentiford, Andrew Chapman, Lizzie Williams and Alice Lowden).

All ten pupils and both staff entered in these races secured medals, making the College the biggest actively competitive junior race walking club in the county.

Mary Wack also secured the U20 women pole vault title and Tom Moody the U17 400m Hurdle title.
